Library Experience
While in the OhioLuminaries Program, I got to rotate through different departments, visit local G.L.A.M. institutions, contribute to various projects, and assist with campus events.

01
Poetry Display
For National Poetry Month 2024, I assisted with putting together a display that included originally designed bookmarks and pinback buttons.
02
Library Takeover - Jan. 2024
For this event, we invited TRIO and Weiler Scholar students to familiarize themselves with the library's resources. This included various creative and informative activates. I was tasked with creating bookmarks for a display activity.

03

CSCC Human Library 2024
This was the first project I worked on. The Human Library is the idea that instead of checking out books to read, you can "checkout" people to learn about. I had to fill out project management documents, brainstorm ideas, and organize information for our own library's version of it set to occur in the fall of 2024. This is where I learned to use Teams and other helpful Microsoft applications.
04
DDC Activity for Instruction
I brought up the issue of students not being familiar with the Dewey Decimal System, so I was given the task of creating an informative activity that could be used in a classroom and for an event such as the Library Takeover (02).

Display Curation
During my time at the CSCC Library, I had many opportunities to assist with the creation of book displays. The photo to the left is a display a co-designed with a fellow colleague for our school's African American Read-in Chain Feb. 2024. Select the button below to see a displays I got to solely create.
